FAQs: Coving Lengths

What makes SuperCove coving lengths different from plaster or polystyrene?

SuperCove coving is lighter, tougher and easier to install. Plaster can crumble and needs two people to lift, while polystyrene is easily damaged and unsafe near heat. Our polyurethane core avoids both issues, giving you a professional finish that lasts.

Do I need to prime SuperCove before painting?

No. Each length is faced with a high-quality paperboard that takes paint straight away. Simply fill the joints and apply your chosen paint for a seamless result.

Can one person install SuperCove coving lengths?

Yes. Even our longer 4m lengths are light enough for one person to handle and fit. You save on labour costs and time, whether you are a DIY user or a tradesperson.

How much mess or waste should I expect when fitting?

Very little. SuperCove cuts cleanly without crumbling like plaster. The lightweight design means less breakage in transit and during fitting, so you reduce waste.

What accessories work best with coving lengths?

For simple jobs, lengths may be all you need. For larger projects, coving multipacks give you better value, and coving corners help create neat, fast joins at angles without difficult cuts.
